First read through

When we first started to read through the play it definitely helped us all to understand the story about more if we weren't already familiar with Henry V. Because we did our run through standing up it gave us a insight into who we would be on stage with in the actual play. I think the first run through was quite overwhelming for a lot of the cast because most of us hadn't worked with Shakespearean text before and getting our head round how to deliver the lines proved difficult at times but I'm sure that it will become easier with more rehearsal.

We also spent time sharing what we thought was initially going on in each scene and the objectives the characters had. This was very helpful because that gave us better understanding of what our characters intentions were in the scene, whereas we might not have been as confident before hand.
